About Bianca Skilbeck’s Practice
The mission at Freedom from Food, is to offer straight-forward and holistic treatment options, specific to the needs of those with disordered eating and the people who care for them. Programs of hypnotherapy and counselling are offered both in-person and online.
Bianca is a clinical hypnotherapist who trained at The Academy of Hypnotic Science, the largest training school in clinical hypnotherapy in Australia, accredited and recognised by the Australian Skills Quality Authority.
At the Academy, Bianca completed the Certificate IV and the Diploma in Hypnotherapy. Bianca is in the process of attaining a degree in Clinical Psychology through Monash University. She has completed an advanced clinical qualification in Resource Therapy, is an ACFED (Australian Centre for Eating Disorders) approved practitioner and a registered member of the Australian Hypnotherapy Association. Bianca has a special interest in eating disorders and addiction recovery.
She works to help her clients find their road to recovery and cultivate healthy and balanced relationships with themselves by addressing the underlying anxiety, depression, low self-esteem and sometimes trauma which are often at the heart of addiction.
Bianca became interested in hypnotherapy when she began studying Psychology and started to learn more about the history of hypnosis, the origins of its use in Psychology and the different techniques which have been developed over the years.
After experiencing hypnosis herself, Bianca developed a keen interest in the subconscious, the power of the mind, and the way that hypnosis can be used to harness real and measurable change in one’s life.
Bianca has long had an interest in Psychology, alternative therapies and meditation, and she brings all of her experience and knowledge of these fields to her work, and to her passion for helping people to live life to their fullest potential.
