About Teena Parkinson’s Practice
I am driven by a passion to awaken people to their positive qualities, their brilliant uniqueness and their birthright to create a life of joy, purpose and fulfilment.
I came to the study of hypnotherapy after many years exploring therapies in a search for insight into how people can become the best person they want to be. We often feel ‘possessed’ by unwanted behaviours and thinking patterns that limit our potential and our sense of wellbeing. Too often, we are overwhelmed by emotions that leave us crippled with feelings of self-doubt, frustration and yearning. Sometimes, life circumstances can seem so challenging and unfair that we feel helpless and worn-out.
Like many people, I was anxious and stressed, pestered for years by my internal chattering ‘monkey mind’. I found that the results of hypnotherapy and strategic psychotherapy were so fast and dramatic that I was compelled to share their benefits with others. It was thrilling to see positive, life-changing outcomes in people who had felt powerless to manage such issues as pain, anxiety, phobias and dependencies.
In my life journey, I also had a yearning to find my purpose in life – a sense of direction that would ensure I was leading a fulfilling and happy life. Through the study of life coaching I was able to find the direction and life purpose that I had so longed for.
I established Creating Your Best Self to support you on your journey to become the person you wish to be – your best self. This can be very different for each individual. You may want relief from unrelenting anxiety; you may want to overcome a fear, phobia or dependency that is holding you back from living a full life; you may want to move towards that dream job; or you may feel lost and not know what you want.
We work together to define your goals and devise a personalised strategy for achieving them. The strategy is carefully developed to take into account your personal style and preferences. For example, you may prefer a defined routine or you may respond best to challenges or you may enjoy completing worksheets. You may find hypnotherapy alone to be a perfect approach for managing your needs or you may thrive on a combination of hypnotherapy and coaching.
My studies and life experiences have given me insights and skills that have proven invaluable. I am dedicated in helping you become the person you want to be – the person you deserve to be.
