About Melissa Bradshaw’s Practice
I’m a clinical hypno-psychotherapist based in Samford Valley, QLD helping people to overcome a range of cognitive, behavioural and emotional challenges including stress, anxiety, depression, unwanted habits, procrastination, low self-esteem, emotional reactivity and more, and achieve the outcomes they want for themselves. I am not the solution; I am a guide and a support. I believe each client has the necessary answers and resources with them.
With a background in social work/human services, four years of international travel and a decade of living a lifestyle of self-development, I’m passionate about putting my knowledge and experiences into supporting others to live more peaceful, empowered and joyful lives. I aim to empower clients to be more in control of their thoughts, feelings and behaviours and better able make conscious, helpful choices, rather than being at the whim of subconscious patterns and programming.
I have a particular interest in personal development, helping clients to peel back the layers that have built up through life’s experiences and guiding them to return to their most authentic Self.
While my primary modalities are integrative hypnotherapy and psychotherapy, based on an enhanced model of cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), my practice incorporates a range of well-being practices like mindfulness and breathing exercises, as well as somatic practices to address the physiological experiences and effects associated with client challenges. Appreciating the individuality of human beings and the value in many healing practices, I also connect clients to other services and/or practitioners that I feel may benefit them.
Personally, I have experienced the value in working to improve myself, my relationships and my experience of life, while having fun along the way! The work I’ve done in my own life (which forms the basis of the service I offer) has generated a resilience, an always-accessible peace and a deep trust that I can always be ok, even when things are not. I believe it’s my purpose to help people tap into those qualities within themselves and offer a compassionate, completely non-judgemental and always confidential space along the way.
I offer online sessions as well as in-person appointments. My studio in Samford Valley is situated within the greater Lifestyle Centre, where you can enjoy a coffee or meal at a beautiful café, or check out the yoga, book store, plant nursery, hair dresser and other lovely things available as well. The studio is wheelchair accessible and overlooks a dam that is home to a range of animals.
Please get in touch if you have any questions. I’m happy to have a chat to make sure I’m the right fit for you.
