About Susan Henderson’s Practice

Hypnotherapy is a major part of my psychology practice. My practice specialises in trauma and pain: psychological, and physical – they come from the same brain, and are as such related (and the scientific research is now there to support this).
I first trained in hypnotherapy when starting out in private practice in psychology (previously working as a psychologist in state schools, and prior to that, a state school teacher) about 25 years ago, as it made no sense to me to be working with the subconscious mind without using a therapeutic tool specifically about the subconscious mind: That would have to be hypnotherapy.
I’ve extended my training and expanded my network, and continue to do so, and also continue to be in awe of hypnosis and hypnotherapy. I do believe that the only limits to hypnotherapy are those we put there by our own lack of understanding and imagination. I love it. I also treat it with the utmost respect; it’s incredibly powerful.
