I am Stephanie Karst-McGrath and I work as a Clinical Hypnotherapist & Strategic Psychotherapist in my private practice “InTrance Therapy” in Menai/Sutherland Shire. I am a married mother of 3 wonderful step-children, 2 cavoodles, and a cat.
I help clients whose life is affected by: Anxiety, Melancholy, Cessation of Binge Eating & Drinking, Weight Loss Support, Insomnia, Burn Out, Self Esteem Issues, Negative Thinking, Phobia, or any other issue where the mind is involved. I see my clients either face to face or online and I offer my services in English and German.
I trained at the prestigious Institute of Applied Psychology where I learned the Gordian Pillars – a new form of Strategic Hypnotherapy that is becoming very popular in Australia due to its high success rate. As a qualified clinical hypnotherapist, strategic psychotherapist, and certified NLP Coach, I specialise in tailored treatment plans for my client to reach their individual goals.
Clinical hypnotherapy and strategic psychotherapy is a newer form of psychology with a very high success rate. It is a goal-orientated, brief form of therapy that looks into the process, not the content. The therapy is based on practical behavioural strategies and coping skills. Many of my clients have seen a shift in their behaviour after the first session. I will ask questions with a strategy in mind to develop an approach for the problem that will reconnect my client with their inner resources and help them increase positive emotions and leave undesirable behaviour behind.

My background helps my clients who see me because they feel stuck or lacking boundaries or suffer from other stress-related issues, such as Insomnia, binge eating or drinking.
