About Heather’s Practice
Heather is a Clinical Hypnotherapist, Strategic Psychotherapist, Registered Nurse and parenting coach who supports parents
experiencing stress, anxiety and emotional overwhelm. Her work is grounded in evidenced-based practice and integrates clinical hypnotherapy, strategic psychotherapy, attachment theory and positive parenting strategies to support sustainable emotional and behavioural change for parents and families.
With over 10 years experiencing through her private practice, This Parenting Life, Heather works with parents seeking practical and emotionally informed support during periods of high stress or transition. She supports parents who feel overwhelmed by the mental and emotional load of family life, experience ongoing anxiety or feel struck in unhelpful patterns that impact their wellbeing and confidence. Her work focuses on supporting parents to strengthen emotional regulation, develop insight and build resilience in both their personal and parenting lives.
As a clinical hypnotherapist, Heather works with parents who experience chronic stress, anxiety, self-doubt or difficulty shifting long-standing emotional or behaviour patterns. Clinical hypnotherapy combined with strategic psychotherapy is used to work at both conscious and subconscious levels to support deeper and lasting change rather than symptoms-based coping strategies.
Heather has a particular interest in supporting parents who feel depleted and overwhelmed by the mental and emotional workload of family life. As a parent of three children herself, she understands the impact of prolonged stress and the mental load on the wellbeing of parents and the family as a whole. Heather provides a non-judgemental therapeutic space where parents can feel respected, supported and understood.
Heather’s approach is practical and strength-based. She believes that meaningful change occurs when parents feel safe, empowered and supported to create the changes they want to make to have the type of family they have always dreamed of. Her work aims to support parents to move from survival mode towards more confidence, emotional balance and connection within their family.
Heather offers sessions in a an online setting, allowing her to work with parents across Australia. Online sessions are conducted in a confidential and supportive environment and are suitable for parents seeking flexible access to therapeutic support while balancing family and work commitments.
