About Katherine Butcher’s Practice
I am an experienced Clinical Hypnotherapist and Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT) Practitioner, specialising in the treatment 
of chronic pain. I think I bring a unique blend of clinical skill, scientific insight, and practical problem-solving to my work, helping you re-train your brain’s response to pain, change habits that have been holding you back and reclaim quality of life.
Before moving into clinical practice, I built a successful career in project and operations management in high-stakes, complex environments. There I developed a strong analytical mindset, a structured approach to problem-solving, and also a deep appreciation for human resilience under pressure.
This scientific and management background informs my therapeutic style today: combining evidence-based approaches with calm, solution-focused guidance. I understand that chronic pain and bad habits are both a personal and physiological challenge, and I work with you to reduce nervous system hypervigilance, address the neuroplastic drivers of pain, and remove blocks so you can be your best self.
I also collaborate with medical professionals and will support you in recognising that your persisting pain, anxiety and overwhelm is real, but can also be reversible, through safe, structured brain-based interventions and clinical hypnosis.
