About Kylie Gallaher’ Practice

Newcastle Clinical Hypnotherapy practices is one of the few strategic hypnotherapy practices in the Hunter region.kylie gallaher

Specialising in anxiety based issues across the spectrum of what that means for you. Within your experience of stress, anxiety, depression, grief, depression, dependency or fixation, your experience is unique to you, although there are identifiable patterns of thinking and how you process your thoughts and feelings that maintain your experience.

This is where we can work to help you develop the cognitive skills so that you think better, feel better and do better towards achieving your goals.

“As the founder of Newcastle Clinical Hypnotherapy, I am dedicated to supporting people through meaningful and lasting personal change. My practice is grounded in strategic psychotherapy and clinical hypnosis, integrating a range of evidence-based and trauma-informed modalities. I am formally trained and accredited in the Gordian Pillars Strategic Psychotherapy Model, clinical hypnosis, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), gut-directed hypnotherapy (GDH), Multichannel Eye Movement Integration (MEMI), and Havening Techniques. My work also draws on principles of psychoneuroimmunology and the mind–body connection.

Over time, I have developed particular expertise in supporting individuals experiencing eating disorders, especially ARFID, for which I am recognised as a leading practitioner in the field. I also work extensively with anxiety-based issues, phobias, trauma recovery, grief, and conditions where emotional challenges manifest physically, including functional gut concerns.

Across my work, I am continually inspired by the strength and adaptability people bring to their healing journeys. I am passionate about helping individuals understand their inner world with clarity, develop new patterns of response, and feel empowered to move toward the life they want, whether navigating long-standing difficulties or seeking support through a challenging chapter.

Life can be complicated, messy, and unpredictable. We learn about ourselves and the world through our experiences, and sometimes those experiences leave us feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck. Prolonged stress and anxiety can affect not only our mental and emotional wellbeing but also our physical health, influencing everything from sleep and digestion to motivation, habits, and relationships. Over time, this can lead to self-doubt, exhaustion, and a sense of losing touch with who we are.

What I know, both from my training and from years of working with clients, is that change is possible. With the right support, people can learn new ways of thinking, feeling, and responding, even in the face of ongoing pressure or uncertainty. Therapy offers a space to explore what isn’t working, understand how patterns developed, and build the internal resources needed for growth, stability, and self-trust.

If any of this resonates, please know you are not alone. Support is available, and change can happen in meaningful and sustainable ways.

As a team, we are committed to providing person-centred, evidence-informed care. Working as a team allows our practice to offer a depth and breadth of expertise across trauma recovery, emotional wellbeing, and mind–body integration. Together, we are committed to creating a safe, supportive environment for everyone who walks through our doors.”
